The newest driver wasn't particularly stable on the machine I tried it on.

I worked around it in our code and indeed the driver loads and works fine after that. The 32 bit driver string is shorter and so doesnt run into this problem. Since the 64 bit driver string for the fast track exceeds 32 characters the string comparison fails and SONAR never sees the device. The code that tries to open the drivers compares the driver name string with 32 character string. The problem is caused by a bug in the ASIO sdk. I tried this and indeed the X64 drivers do not show up in SONAR. * doesn't set the sample rate attribute, but supports it */įp->attributes |= EP_CS_ATTR_SAMPLE_RATE + subs->ops.retire_sync = retire_playback_sync_urb + subs->ops.prepare_sync = prepare_playback_sync_urb Subs->ops.retire_sync = retire_playback_sync_urb_hs_emu I found a forum where it seems that someone has contacted directly those of the ALSA team for some help about the "Fast Track Ultra", and the ALSA guys replayed him by sending a patch for the audio drivers that I copy below: PS: My configuration Laptop is Sony Vaio FE-28H.
